Three Darfur men beaten by armed ex-SLA group in Tawila

Three displaced people from Dali Camp in Tawila sustained wounds on Thursday evening as a result of an attack by a member of the Sudan Liberation Movement faction known as ‘Historical Leadership’, which signed an agreement with the government recently.

Three displaced people from Dali Camp in Tawila sustained wounds on Thursday evening as a result of an attack by a member of the Sudan Liberation Movement faction known as ‘Historical Leadership’, which signed an agreement with the government recently. Eyewitnesses told Radio Dabanga that those injured were Musa Eljali, an elderly sheikh whose teeth were broken as a result of being beaten, along with Rabie Ahmed who was injured in the hand and Alhaj Adam Alhaj. The witnesses accused the attackers of being incited to attack civilians and displaced people in the area and terrorizing them and robbing their money and mobile phones as well as attacking women. Radio Dabanga was not able to contact SLA-Historic Leadership for comments on the accusations.
