Three civilians killed in east Darfur fighting in Tabit

Three civilians were killed in fighting in an eastern part of Darfur. The clash last Friday between the government forces and those of Minni Arko Minawi also resulted in the closure of Tabit Market and the flight of the population. Tabit is between El Fasher and Shangil Tobaya, which last month was targeted by a government advance from El Fasher.

Others were wounded including Ismail Ishaag Suleiman, Hawa Abakr Musa, Adam Suleiman Musa, and Jumaa Mohamed Musa. One of the inhabitants of the region said that all residents fled to neighboring farms due to the clash last Friday. He said that the citizens of the region are living in the open now, without food. He said they are frightened and he called for humanitarian organizations to provide assistance to the population of Tabit.
