Sudanese migrants in Alexandria arrested for vending on streets

Authorities in the Egyptian city of Alexandria arrested two Sudanese vendors on Tuesday morning. The Sudanese refugees were arrested in the area of the baths and detained awaiting public prosecution.

Authorities in the Egyptian city of Alexandria arrested two Sudanese vendors on Tuesday morning. The Sudanese refugees were arrested in the area of the baths and detained awaiting public prosecution. The arrested men are: Bakri Abdullah Daleel (30 years) and Adam Sharif Al Din (32 years). Both are from Darfur and reside in Alexandria. They work on the streets earning their livelihood as vendors of mobile phones. They are accused of selling on the streets. Bakri had been arrested four times during the current year while Adam Sharif was arrested twice earlier this year.
