Sudanese Journalist Network continues to fight for colleague’s release

The Sudanese Journalist Network(SJN) renewed its demand for the release of the journalist Jafar Elsobkey, who is being currently under trial at the Central Khartoum Court.The SJN described the trial as political. A leader from the network revealed that their campaign for Jafar’s release will continue to put pressure on the government until his discharge from the court is achieved. He also stated that the campaign included protests in front of the court during the period of the trial and that a political rally will be held at the Eltayba Press Center coming Saturday. A number of political leaders and media figures will be speaking during the event.
