Brig Gen Jamal Juma, spokesman for Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, said in a press conference held at his office in Khartoum on Tuesday that one RSF militiaman was killed during the June 30 March of Millions, while 29 protestors were injured.

He said that investigations into the person accused of killing the militiaman on June 30 will be concluded soon.

The RSF legal department recently filed 39 complaints about 35 persons. According to the militia spokesman, 16 cases concerned persons “impersonating RSF forces” who terrorised people and stole their property.

On Sunday, the RSF commander and deputy chairman of the ruling Transitional Military Council (TMC), Lt Gen.Mohamed Hamdan, better known as Hemeti, announced at a rally organised by the Kawhla tribe yesterday. He said that “snipers and infiltrators” were to blame.
