Sudan’s Diplomatic and Official Passports Regulation amended

Sudan’s Foreign Minister, Dr El Dirdeiri Ahmed, on Thursday signed the amendment to the Regulation for Diplomatic, Official, and Private Passports for the year 2019. The new passports will be produced to international standards, entirely of Sudanese manufacture.

The official Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reports that after the signing in Khartoum, the members of the committee presented a briefing on the progress of work in developing the characteristics of the diplomatic passport and the private passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The passports will include new security and technical features that will be activated. “The passports to be issued by the Ministry in the future in coordination with local partners, will be a passport with international standards and an independent Sudanese manufacturing by 100 per cent.
