The Government of Sudan has asked two staff of an international NGO to leave West Darfur. On Thursday the government “requested” that the two staff with the international NGO Catholic Relief Services (CRS) leave the state, according to a statement by the UN African Union Peacekeeping Mission. The UN peacekeepers sent military patrols to remove the CRS workers from their stations in the outlying areas of El Geneina, West Darfur.  The UN said the workers had received “indications of threats” before the government made its request.
