Sudan fuel shortage makes water, food scarce and pricey for Ramadan
The price of a barrel of water in some districts in El Obeid, capital of North Kordofan, has risen to SDG 90 (*$3.32) this week amid expectations of a rise in the price of a barrel to SDG 100 ($3.68) if the fuel crisis continues.

In South Kordofan, the traffic between Abu Jubeiha and the surrounding has stopped three days ago because of the lack of fuel. An employee in Abu Jubeiha told Radio Dabanga that the residents of the villages are coming on foot to the city to shop for lack of transportation.
In Darfur, some of the bakeries in Nyala have been closed for lack of flour amid a severe bread, transportation and fuel crisis and water and electricity cuts which have turned the city into misery.
The price of fuel and consumer goods have risen threatening with hardship during Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the prices of consumer goods and necessities have significantly increased in the markets of El Damazin in Blue Nile.
