Students rape classmates in Darfur

Two young students raped two classmates in East Darfur on Monday. In North Darfur, militiamen raped a woman collecting water on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in Wadi Egeri mixed school in Ed Daein locality, East Darfur. The two boys, aged approximately 16 to 17 years old, raped the girl students after classes had ended, a source informed Radio Dabanga.

He said that the police have arrested two boys and that they are under investigation. The victims were transferred to a hospital for treatment.

North of Tabit, militiamen on camels intercepted a woman on Tuesday morning. She went out to collect water in Bira. The men raped her for four hours, according to a relative of the victim. The woman is now in poor physical and psychological health and being treated in a health centre.
