Student killed, 10 injured, 48 detained in South Kordofan

A student was killed at the University of Delling in South Kordofan, ten others were injured, and 48 were detained on Wednesday. A student of the University of Delling revealed to Radio Dabanga that the incidents started on Tuesday when students submitted a memo to the University’s management demanding the provision of water and electricity to the students’ boarding house. “In response, police and security forces, supported by militant students of the ruling National Congress Party stormed the boarding house, and attacked the students. One student was hit by a bullet in his head, and was killed instantly. Another student was run over by a vehicle. A student of the University of Delling revealed to Radio Dabanga that the incidents started on Tuesday when students submitted a memo to the University’s management demanding the provision of water and electricity to the students’ boarding house.
