Student dies in South Darfur armed robbery
A high school student was shot dead during an armed robbery in Kass, South Darfur, on Monday evening.
A relative of Yassin Ahmed Shinebo told Radio Dabanga that two gunmen in military uniforms attacked the student in the evening. He was on his way home from the ‘television club’.
The attackers attempted to steal his phone and shot him dead when he refused to hand it over. A team of locals pursued the culprits, managed to capprehend them, and handed them over to the police in Kass.
The shooting caused panic among the residents.
