SLM-AW claims to beat army in West Darfur

The Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid said it has gained full control of the Khor Wij area 20 km west of Jebel Moon and 15 km north of Selayah in West Darfur. SLM-AW field commander Abbas Asil said the movement entered the area at 0800 pushing the Sudanese army out of the area. He said the movement killed a major general and captured five vehicles loaded with weapons. Radio Dabanga tried to contact the army for comment but received no response.
