A tourist bus overturned on the Khartoum-Wad Medani road, near El Dictor in Hassahissa. 23 passengers sustained injuries.
Musa Abdelgadir El Sheikh, the director of traffic police in El Gezira state, reported that the bus driver’s loss of balance was the cause of the accident. The driver had tried to avoid a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
El Sheikh said that two children and four women were killed. Their bodies have been transferred to the morgue in Hassagissa. The injured passengers were taken to Hassahissa hospital.
