Shopkeepers killed in ‘Ammar Jadeed

Two people were killed and a third was injured in ‘Ammar Jadeed area, Zalingei Locality, Central Darfur, when they were attacked by gunmen on Wednesday September 12. A witness told Radio Dabanga that three gunmen on horses tried to loot shops in the Naseem district of ‘Ammar Jadeed. When the shopowners resisted, the militants opened fire. Adam Mustafa and Omer Bakhiet were killed instantly, while Adam Hussein was seriously injured. The injured victim was taken to Wadi Saleh hospital for treatment. According to the witness, the gunmen looted an amount of three million Sudanese Pounds (SDG) and food items from the stores. The incident was reported to the police.
