Shop and house plundered, woman shot in Central Darfur

A shop owner was assaulted and a woman seriously injured on Saturday in Gurnei village, Nierteti locality in Central Darfur, after being shot by militiamen. A customer reported to Radio Dabanga that on Saturday evening militiamen attacked Yahia Omar Ishag inside his shop next to his home. They beat him and plundered all the goods in the shop, estimated at about SDG15,000 ($2,630) along with his belongings in his house and luggage, and two donkeys.While leaving, they opened fire at a woman passing by, named Kaltoum Mohamed Adam, wounding her in the chest and legs.
