Central Darfur market still closed after Misseriya-Khazam clashes

The weekly market of Deleig in Wadi Salih locality, Central Darfur, is still closed.Residents of Deleig town told Radio Dabanga that on Saturday the authorities announced that the weekly market would not open again on Sunday, because of the presence of large groups of armed Misseriya and Khazam tribesmen nearby the town. The weekly market of Deleig in Wadi Salih locality, Central Darfur, is still closed.

Residents of Deleig town told Radio Dabanga that on Saturday the authorities announced that the weekly market would not open again on Sunday, because of the presence of large groups of armed Misseriya and Khazam tribesmen nearby the town.

Clashes between the two tribes in Deleig on Wednesday killed nine tribesmen and injured six others.
