Security forces and pro-government militia clash in Nyala

Security forces and pro-government militia clashed on Monday at the Hi Al Sika Hadid and Taiba neighborhoods, east Nyala, South Darfur. They also noted that on Tuesday 14 militia men wearing military uniforms plundered the Taiba market and continued to Hi Al Sika Hadid, where security forces opened fire on them before government property was looted. Clashes started on Monday midday and lasted until midnight on Tuesday. Witnesses say both sides used heavy guns. Citizens complain about the rise of terror, looting and violence caused by the militia for a long time now. They say authorities were contacted but that they nothing about the situation so far.
