A 15-year-old schoolgirl, Saloom Habil Tiya, was injured when a Sukhoi jet fighter of the Sudanese Air Force reportedly bombed Tanase Village in Tabo County, Boram in South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains.

According to Arno Ngutulu Lodi, spokesman for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), the attack targeted a residential area. According to Lodi’s statement the Sudanese government “is continually terrorising, killing, displacing and causing hunger to the people in Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur.”

Lodi says the rebels “expect the international community will pay attention to the crimes committed by this regime.”
