Traders were traveling to purchase millet from rural suppliersAn armed group on Monday robbed four merchants in Taringa in Kass District, South Darfur. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the armed group comprised nine people in military uniforms. The gunmen blocked the route of a vehicle coming from Nyala to Taringa via Kass.

The vehicle was carrying the four merchants, three of whom were men and the fourth a woman, all heading to Kass area from Nyala to buy millet. The witness stated that armed group forced the merchants to get off the vehicle at gunpoint and stole 17 thousand pounds from them.
