Robbers kill one, injure two in South Darfur camp

Gunmen killed one man and injured two others during a robbery in El Faniya camp for the displaced in South Darfur. Speaking to Radio Dabanga a camp resident said that on Wednesday evening three “government-backed militiamen” entered the mobile phone shop of Mohamed Omar El Hindi, in El Faniya camp, Kass locality.They shot him in his hand before robbing him of all the contents of his shop. On their way out of the camp, the gunmen shot at Ahmed Wad Djoby and Abdelnasir Adam Bahreldin, seriously injuring them.  They robbed both men of their money and mobile phones. Wad Djoby and Bahreldin were transferred to the hospital of Nyala for treatment where Wad Djoby died of his wounds on Thursday. File photo
