Voluntary return In the same context, displaced people in North Darfur demanded Sese to provide them with security, protection, health and education services, according to Sudan’s official news agency (SUNA) on Thursday. They argued that in order to voluntary return to their homes, an attractive environment is needed, following the implementation of the Doha document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) On his part, the head of the DRA confirmed he is committed to implement the delegation’s demands related to maintaining security in the camps, and providing an attractive and safe environment for voluntary return. Sese said he is also committed to the micro financing of projects for youth, women and collective marriages to combat negative habits. The DDPD, adopted in 2011, is signed by the Sudanese government, the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) and the JEM-Bashar splinter faction to address the root causes of the conflict in Darfur, including compensation and return for the people who are displaced by the conflict.File photo: camp for internally displaced persons in El Fasher, North Darfur (UN)Related: ‘First meeting in Qatar very positive’: Darfur Regional Authority (9 January 2014) Commission discusses progress of Darfur peace agreement (17 December 2013)
