The Commissioner of Khartoum state, Omar Nimir, has admitted to feeding the infirm and elderly in the state with food confiscated from street peddlers and vendors. The Sudanese Association for Consumer Protection has demanded the Commissioner Omar Nimir to apologise officially in the newspapers, to the elderly, after admitting feeding them with confiscated foods. The Secretary-General of the Association, Dr Yasir Mirghani, has demanded Nimir to provide safe, healthy food for the elderly and infirm, instead of feeding them the leftovers which are confiscated by force.
