‘Rebels looted market, banks in Alliet’: North Darfur MP

A member of the North Darfur State parliament has accused the armed resistance forces of looting the market of Alliet Jarelnabi, banks in Alliet, and the locality’s offices. According to Sudanese newspapers, the representative of Alliet locality in the Legislative Council of North Darfur State, Nur Eldin Adam Abu El Gasim, reported that rebel forces plundered the market of Alliet Jarelnabi. “They loaded the stolen goods onto seven lorries.” The rebels allegedly looted banks and the locality’s headquarters too. Abu El Gasim said that during the attack on Alliet, one rebel was killed and another wounded.The joint resistance forces denied the allegations.
