Protest in West Darfur town over replacement of commissioner

Tens of citizens in the town of Beida, West Darfur have protested the replacement of the locality commissioner. In a demonstration on Saturday in Beida Locality, southwest of El Geneina, they rejected Commissioner Abdelkhalig Ibrahim, who was appointed to replace Commissioner Ahmed Ismail Al Mufti. Radio Dabanga learnt that citizens marched in a peaceful demonstration and protested the appointment of Abdelkhalig, saying that the former commissioner had provided services for the locality.
