Pro-government militia ambushes commercial vehicle :sources

An alleged pro-government militia is being accused of attacking a commercial vehicle in the area of Girwiet Bershem, Dar El Salaam locality in North Darfur on Sunday, 16 December. A witness told Radio Dabanga that a ‘pro-government’ militia ambushed a commercial vehicle, looted the passengers’ belongings and fled. The source stated that a group in three Land Cruiser vehicles attacked a commercial vehicle on the road from El Fasher to Girwiet Bershem, south of El Fasher. It was added that all of the passengers’ belongings such as phones and luggage were looted, as well as the goods the truck was carrying. It was reported that this was the fifth attack in less than a week time.
