Power cuts in Khartoum
Residents of areas in the Sudanese capital complain about power outages as a result of the high temperatures in the city. “The effects of the cuts are unprecedented.”
A listener in Khartoum said that the power outages were scheduled, but the people have not been notified about them. “This has increased the suffering. Many people depend on the electricity for food preservation or a business that runs on electricity.”
On Sunday morning, electricity was cut-off in central Khartoum, forcing workers to go back home.
The water cuts in many neighbourhoods are also associated with the power outages, he said.
