Ponzi scheme victims form committee in El Fasher, Darfur

Victims of the El Fasher market scheme known as “Mawasir Souq” have formed a special committee to recover their properties. The committee began to count and register the names of those affected. A spokesman of the committee, Soleiman Ishaag, told Radio Dabanga that the number of victims so far registered has reached more than 50.000. The committee erected a tent and waved banners demanding the removal of Governor Osman Mohammed Yusuf Kibir, whom they hold responsible for the fraud and deception of the citizens through the Mawasir scam. Soleuman asked the authorities to bring to trial the accused masterminds of the scam, ruling party parliamentarians Adam Ismail and Musa Siddig.
