Police station North Darfur attacked by militia

Four policemen were injured when a government-armed militia attacked a police station in the village Numu, located a few kilometers east of Wadi Bare, south of Kabkabiya, North Darfur. The attack happened just before sunset when the militia came to the station driving three Land Cruisers on Tuesday, 25 December.   Upon arriving at the site, the gunmen immediately started firing towards the station, injuring police sergeant Ahmed Khamiis Adam, his colleague sergeant Abdallah Khatir, and two soldiers Majehin Mohamed Adam and Abdelmalik Adam Ibrahim. They were taken to Kabkabiya for treatment. After the shooting, the militiamen looted the police station and seized the weapons. They also began firing shots in the air to scare the local population, Radio Dabanga reports.
