A 14-year-old schoolgirl was repeatedly raped, allegedly by elements of the Rapid Support militia in Kabkabiya locality in North Darfur today.

The coordinator of the Kabkabiya camps for the displaced told Radio Dabanga that a group of four women went out of camp Sortony to collect straw. They were intercepted by a group of militiamen wearing military uniforms, and riding camels.

The coordinator said that the militiamen managed to seize the 14-year-old victim, and was repeatedly raped. The other three women managed to escape the attackers.

He said that victim was taken to a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders (MCF), and the incident reported to Unamid.
