Militiamen attacked several farmers in East Jebel Marra on Thursday, and expelled them from the area. Others entered villages near Tabit, scaring a number of residents away.

A witness in East Jebel Marra told Radio Dabanga that farmers in Koto were beaten with rifle butts and robbed of their money and property by pro-government militiamen.

He added that members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have occupied a number of water wells in Humeida, Dalma, and Um Baji – all south of Tabit, the same day.

Other RSF members entered three villages north of Tabit, Sousa, Karkur, and Hillet Abaker, by force. A witness from one of the villages said that villagers have fled into the direction of Zamzam camp for the displaced, and Tabit.
