Militia hijacks commercial vehicle, ties passengers in W. Darfur

A commercial vehicle was hijacked and its occupants were tied and beaten by the four pro-government militias who reportedly carried out the attack near Bir Dageeg in Sirba locality, West Darfur, on Sunday. One of the victims recounted to Radio Dabanga the four militants took the Land Cruiser vehicle and its passengers to an area called Wadi Ardeba, where the occupants were tied up, beaten and stripped of all of their belongings.Next, the militia fled in the car taking all of the goods it was transporting. Two of the perpetrators were riding camels and two others were by foot, the source pointed out, noting the vehicle was en route from El-Geneina to Abu Surouj camp.
