Man dies, others injured in Central and South Darfur militia attacks

In the area of Gurni, 12km north of Nierteti town, Central Darfur, a man was reportedly gunned-down by militiamen. A witness told Radio Dabanga that militiamen attacked Adam Babakir Fadul inside his home and killed him on the spot. His friend Mohamed Hamdaan Suleiman was injured. The reason for the shooting was not clear, the witness added.In the area of Arduwa, 2km west of Kass in South Darfur, two displaced people were allegedly seriously injured after gunmen opened fire on a vehicle they were in. Speaking to Radio Dabanga a witness reported that that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a vehicle loaded with watermelons en route to the town of Kass. El Tayeb Adam El Tahir and Malik Ilm El Din were seriously injured and transferred to the hospital of Kass for treatment.
