More than 100 houses burned in Attash Camp for displaced people in Nyala, South Darfur on Thursday. The displaced people in the camp told Radio Dabanga that the fire broke out suddenly in a mosque in the camp, and spread to the surrounding houses. IDPs appealed to the humanitarian organizations to speed up relief for the victims who are now living in the open without food or shelter. Also, in Djabal Camp for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad, a fire broke out yesterday, destroying 4 houses and 6 shops. One refugee whose house was burned told Radio Dabanga the fire had consumed all his possessions, savings and food stocks.
