In the 87th minute of the game between Hilal El Fasher and Hilal Kadugli, a fan managed to stab El Fasher's captain and goalkeeper Assem Humeida, coach Mahdi Abu Zaki reported. The secretary of Hilal El Fasher has publicly condemned the attack.

Humeida, bedridden at El Obeid's hospital, told Radio Dabanga yesterday that he is doing well.

“The referee is responsible for this event because of his bad managemt of the game,” he said over the phone. “But this incident does not represent the ethics of athletes. It will not affect Hilal club or its fans.”

The match of the ninth Sudan Premier League round was held in Kadugli Stadium and ended in a 2-1 win for Hilal Kadugli.
