A civilian was killed in a long-range missile attack by the Sudanese military in South Kordofan, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) reported. An ambush on the Sudanese army by the rebels resulted in the killing of five soldiers on Tuesday.

The SPLM-N claimed the attack on the Teri-Tajelbo road in Rashad locality in a press statement on Friday. “Five soldiers were killed and many others wounded. From our side, two comrades are wounded,” spokesman Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said.

On Sunday 28 February, the Sudan Armed Forces hit the area of Salara in Delling locality with long-range missiles. Jalal Abas Kafira was killed, according to the SPLM-N. Four other civilians sustained injuries. “The army hit targets that are completely not in the frontline,” Lodi said.
