The Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) said contacts with the Sudanese government and the mediators have been suspended yesterday regarding the ceasefire details. Ahmed Togud, chief negotiator of the JEM told Radio Dabanga that this step comes after efforts made by the Sudanese government and the mediators to sign a similar framework agreement with other Darfur factions. Togud added that the JEM asked the mediation to give further explanation for this trend. The movement had announced earlier that it would not continue its negotiations if the government deals separately with the other rebel factions.
