The Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and government forces clashed this afternoon in the Ba’achin area of North Darfur. JEM spokesman, Jibril Adam Bilal told Radio Dabanga JEM intercepted a Sudan Armed Forces convoy of 138 vehicles and eight tanks. He said JEM beat and killed soldiers, and destroyed vehicles and weapons belonging to government troops. Bilal said the movement is still trying to assess the number of lives loss and damage inflicted, as the clashes happened only around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
