‘Irregularities, corruption’ in El Gedaref crop distribution

A number of residents of El Mafaza locality in Sudan’s El Gedaref state have reported irregularities and corruption in the distribution of the crop market to shops.

A number of residents of El Mafaza locality in Sudan's El Gedaref state have reported irregularities and corruption in the distribution of the crop market to shops.

They pointed out that the distribution process has been conducted secretly without the knowledge of the residents or announcing the quotas in public.

They said the quotas have been distributed to influential authorities.

They demanded that the distribution be stopped as a transgression and exploitation of influence.
