ICRC workers abducted in Fatah Borno

An armed group kidnapped an employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) along with three local workers in Fatah Borno, North Darfur on Saturday. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen did not specify where they came from and stopped the workers, traveling in two trucks who were in the area to carry out field surveys. They said the gunmen stopped the trucks at gunpoint leading them away to an unknown location. The ICRC confirmed that the incident occurred and said they are now contacting families of those abducted and local Darfuri authorities to find them and ensure their quick, safe release.
