Dr. Ahmed Malik said the strike impacted the hospital. He stressed that drugs are available in the hospital, adding that the reasons for the strike is the salaries.

Meanwhile in the health sector in Kutum Locality, a number of patients and their families complained of a severe shortage of medicine in both the hospital and the market pharmacy. They also cited water shortages, and deteriorated environmental health conditions at the hospital. One person in Kutum said that one of his relatives died in the hospital due to a lack of medicine within the hospital and at the market.
