The residents of El Kurmuk in Blue Nile State have complained of a severe shortage of medical staff and medicines at the city’s hospital amid the spread diseases such as malaria.

A medical source from El Kurmuk told Radio Dabanga that “the hospital is suffering a terrible deterioration in health services, at a time when about 15,000 people depend on this hospital”.

He pointed out that there is a shortage of equipment and medicines, along with a shortage of medical staff.

He urged the competent authorities to play their role in providing health services for the citizens of El Kurmuk.
