KHARTOUM (11 Mar.) – The UNAMID and the government started a joint investigation about the ambush of UNAMID vehicles. The vehicles were stripped of weapons and equipment and most vehicles were seized in the Kara region in Jebel Marra on the fifth of March. Sudanese foreign ministry summoned yesterday the Special Representative for UNAMID and demanded a clarification about the ambush. Khartoum urged a joint mission to research what happened. The government accuse one of the rebel movements. The SLM of Abdul Wahid told Radio Dabanga yesterday that they blame the Janjaweed.
