JEM denies start of direct negotiations with the government

DOHA (11 Mar.) – The Justice and Equality Movement denied (JEM) to have started direct negotiations with the government in Doha. Head of the JEM delegation Ahmed Tugod confirmed that the two parties delivered their opinion about the agenda for the peace negotiations.

The Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) has intense discussions to reach unity with some groups of the Addis Ababa group, which withdrew from the Doha Forum. The deputy secretary of the LJM Hashem Hammad told Radio Dabanga that their withdrawal or stay in Doha is subject to consultations between the movement and the mediators about the issues of negotiation.
