Gold diggers robbed in North Darfur’s Jebel ‘Amer

On Sunday, a number of gold diggers in the area of Jebel ‘Amer, North Darfur, were robbed by militiamen. The gunmen beat the workers, and stole more than SDG27,000 ($4,700) and an amount of gold, Sadam Hamad Mohamed, one of the victims, reported to Radio Dabanga. “We had hired a car and a driver from a militiaman, to go to Saraf Umra. When we were on our way, the driver suddenly left the road, and drove into a forest.
