On Sunday, at least five students have been injured at Sennar University in new clashes between students of the Faculty of Education and student supporters of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP).

A number of students told Radio Dabanga from Singa that the clashes were an extension of the events the faculty had witnessed last week because of a dispute over the filling of forms for membership of the National Congress Party

Police and security services intervened by cordoning-off the student dormitories to break-up the clash.

As reported by Radio Dabanga on Thursday, seven students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Sennar were injured in an attack by student supporters of the ruling NCP in El Nujoumi dormitory in Singa.
