Seven students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Sennar were injured in an attack by student supporters of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in El Nujoumi dormitory in Singa.

A number of students told Radio Dabanga that the attack, in which machetes and metal bars were used, caused injuries to Ahmed El Nur, Nabil Ismail, Adam Mohamed, Ali Hussein, Mohamed Ahmed, and two other students called Salaheldin and Seifeldin.

The students explained that the attack happened after clashes on Tuesday evening between the students of the dormitory, forcing the student supporters of the NCP to leave.
