Fire destroys 21 homes in South Darfur camp

An extensive fire broke out on Tuesday evening in Dereig camp in Nyala locality, South Darfur State. 21 homes were entirely destroyed

Displaced people told Radio Dabanga that they managed to extinguish the fire, that started at about 11 pm, but could not identify how it started.

“The families affected by the fire are still living out in the open without shelter,” a camp resident said.
