Inter-factional fighting has continued among the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) in the area of Jebel Marra. The spokesman of the SLM-Abdel Wahid, Nimr Abdulrahman, told Radio Dabanga that there was other fighting in several Darfur states. In South Darfur in Kedinir and Liyba, in West-Darfur in the villages Boldong and Kutrom in West Jebel Marra and in North Darfur the fighting took place in El Aradeb al Ashara, Tarne and Khazan Tunjur. Nimr accused defecting and competing militias of killing civilians and looting their properties. The claims of other SLM-units that they had repelled attacks from the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) while capturing 16 vehicles were not confirmed. Also the SAF denies any involvement in the fighting.
