Fasher Forum set on peaceful coexistence
On Monday, the Forum Fasher for the peaceful coexistence of states of Darfur and North Kordofan starts. It aims to create an environment conducive to peaceful co-existence between herdsmen and farmers, based on customs and traditions. It also wishes to strengthen control mechanisms, as well as tightening administrative coordination.
On Monday, the Forum Fasher for the peaceful coexistence of states of Darfur and North Kordofan starts. It aims to create an environment conducive to peaceful co-existence between herdsmen and farmers, based on customs and traditions. It also wishes to strengthen control mechanisms, as well as tightening administrative coordination. Dr. Abdu Dawood Suleiman, Minister of Finance and Economy, announced the opening of a number of financial organizations, including the Bank for Savings and Development (branch of the University of El Fasher), the MFI (for micro finance), and a family Bank (branch of El Fasher). The Forum will have eight working papers, e.g. on tribal peaceful coexistence under Islamic law, local custom, natural resource management, population mobility, and civil administration and its role in peace-building.
