The father of the tortured and killed student Mohamed Musa has opened an official police case for murder (article 130). Musa Abdallah Bahr el Din related in an exclusive interview with Radio Dabanga that he is looking for justice.
He spoke to the radio station right after he had buried his son at the Al Thaura Cemetery near Omdurman. During the burial, the police used teargas against the attendants of the funeral. Radio Dabanga received pictures of the funeral.
Some colleagues of the killed student chanting slogans and scolding the Dean of the Education Faculty of Khartoum University, blaming him for not starting investigations. The dean came to the funeral to offer his condolences (Fatha-prayers). Musa Abdallah told Radio Dabanga that he received the body of his son Monday morning. He uncovered the body and discovered that his son had been tortured. ‘You clearly could find the signs of burns caused by using electrical shocks. He body was covered with bruises caused by severe beating. He was also horribly hit in his private parts’, father Musa Abdallah said in tears. Radio Dabanga will air the entire interview with him and his lawyer Salih Osman on Tuesday.
